Bayside Vehicle Restorers Club

The Bayside Vehicle Restorers Club (Inc.) is based in the Brisbane bayside suburb of Cleveland. Club membership is open to owners of all makes of Veteran, Vintage, Historic & Classic vehicles over 30 years old and to enthusiasts of older vehicles. BVRC was formed in 1978 and has enjoyed continuous activity ever since.

The Club is affiliated with the Queensland Historic Motoring Council.

The club produces a club magazine four times each year and it also publishes, but only among members, a register of all club members’ vehicles. Members provide other members with physical & technical help in restoring and maintaining historic vehicles.

The Club is affiliated with the Queensland Historic Motoring Council.  The Club organises events on a regular basis, including mid-week and week-end day runs for members each month, regular social outings, week-ends away and at least one long distance run each year.

The Club’s aims are to:

  • foster interest in the history, restoration and preservation of Veteran, Vintage, Pre-war, Historic and Classic categories of motor vehicles, a give particular emphasis to the Veteran & Vintage categories;
  • recognise and emphasise that these vehicles were the pioneers of motorised land transportation;
  • assist members in the acquisition, restoration and maintenance of eligible vehicles;  provide for the exchange of information, expertise and parts among members through gatherings and events within the Association and in combination with other Associations with similar objects
  • facilitate the restoration and use of members’ vehicles and to improve the skills of members in the restoration and use of their vehicles,
  • act in any other way which will promote a continued interest and improved expertise in the preservation and use of members’ vehicles;  promote and conduct competitions, trials and other events in which members’ vehicles can compete,
  • conduct events which will directly or indirectly assist charitable institutions and the community within and beyond the Association’s geographical area and to participate in such events organised by or to assist charitable institutions and the local community;
  • provide for and assist in the education of the Australian public in its heritage and the part played by motor vehicles in Australia’s history, and also to assist in providing the public with a better knowledge and understanding of the development of the automobile and the unique features of the various vehicles, through displays, parades and in any other way

The Club meets on the 2nd Friday of each month at7:30pm at the Donald Simpson Centre in Cleveland.
