Kevin Lawlor Memorial Rally

At least 5 or 6 bayside cars attended the 2008 Kevin Lawlor Memorial Rally for the benefit of the children from The Redlands Respite Care centre, organised by the Model A Club. About 25 cars in total were present to entertain the children around as part of the day of  festivities. A hearty breakfast was supplied for drivers before the children arrived.

The highlight of the day was taking the children & carers on a rally from Sheldon to the Cleveland Showgrounds where the Truck and Machinery show was under-way. Police and Fire Services were both present. The Police patrol car proved popular with the children. A successful day, with time, money and services donated by a number of local businesses and drivers and a fund-raising auction to finish the day.

A good time had by all with many promising to return next year.
