Club Run – Butter Makes it Better
April 29th, 2008 Posted in runOur Sunday run to the Kinston Butter Factory co-incided with a Logan City carnival, which mean that there were many displays and other trucks and Jeeps on show. The display of live bats, ranging from microbats, smaller than the palm of your hand, to “Gilbert” the fat and black fruit bat, like a flying fox terrier. All tame, but perhaps not best as pets. There were 6 or 7 Bayside cars, plus Cheryl’s Bedford, which was on display.
Lunch as was at the popular duck pond park at Beenleigh where about a dozen Baysiders sat for a pleasant two hours telling the usual tall stories, some of which where probably true. Richard’s tales of recent exploits on the Great Wall of China and his ‘run-ins’ with mendicant monks made an interesting change from the usual car stories.
We forgot to feed the ducks, but it was a very satisfying Sunday run.
